cook

to prepare a particular food by heating it 

煮，烧（某种食物）

If you cook the potatoes, I’ll make the salad.

recipe

instructions on how to make sth to eat 

烹饪法；食谱

Make sure you follow the recipe.

务必按照食谱去做。

cook

a person whose job is to cook

chef

a person who works as the chief cook in a hotel or restaurant 

（宾馆或饭馆里做烹饪的）大厨师，大师傅

ingredients (plural)

the things that you need in order to make sth to eat 

（菜肴的）成分，配料

Get all the ingredients ready before you start cooking.

在开始烹饪前，把所有的配料准备好。

to measure the amount of food you need by using kitchen scales

spoonful

the amount of sth that can be contained in a spoon

mix/blend

to mix two or more types of food together

Mix the flour and sugar together in a bowl.

beat

to mix sth quickly with a fork 

搅打，搅拌

Beat the flour and other ingredients together.

把面粉和其他配料放在一起搅拌。

with a whisk you whisk or whip eggs, cream, etc to make them light or stiff

用搅拌器搅拌，搅打（鸡蛋、奶油等）
