School Introduction

Guangzhou Tieyi High School (commonly known as Tieyi), located in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou (Canton), was founded in 1952. The school has tremendously high reputation for its well-organized system of student management, high teaching standard, extraordinary teachers and excellent students. Tieyi has become one of the key high schools in China. In 1994, it was graded as a First Level School of Guangdong Province. Also, the school was honored as national demonstration high schools in Guangdong, 'Premium Education Level 'Status in Guangdong High Schools. Furthermore, its success in comprehensive implementation on moral education and campus safety has made it an excellent school among Guangzhou. The school has become the training practice base of outstanding school principal in Guangzhou and Guangdong.

Campus

The school currently has two campuses, the main Campus and the Panyu Campus (Asian Game Town). Those two campuses are administered under the same senior management team with identical management system, teaching target, educated concept and funding. Those two campuses both are selective Public High School in Guangzhou. In order to achieve the school expanded of Guangzhou, Panyu campus (Asian Game Town) was put in use in 2012.

Academic achievements

Guangtie has achieved excellent scores in education, and has been praised by the national, provincial and municipal government for several times. All these years, Guangtie has made a bumper harvest in the college entrance examination. From 1995, the school had received the first-class of excellent performance of High School graduating work in Guangzhou for continuously 13 years.

Over years, there are several Tieyi graduates nailed the first place in the province and city, in both overall scare and single subject, Such as Zhang Ying (the Gaokao Scholar of Guangdong Province), XI Qian (the Gaokao Scholar of Guangdong province in Physics) and other excellent students.

In the college entrance examination, the school achievement has ranked at the top among the prestigious high schools in the province. This year, more than 40% of the students are able to enter key universities in China and more than 90% of them can find a place in a Chinese university.
