About IGCSE

Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is the world's most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. It is recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide, and is an international passport to progression and success. Developed over 25 years ago, it is tried, tested and trusted by schools worldwide. Examinations for most subjects are offered at a "Core Level" with grading on a five point scale (C-G) and at an "extended Level" with grades on a eight point scale (A*-G).

The Cambridge IGCSE curriculum offers a variety of routes for learners with a wide range of abilities, including those whose first language is not English. In addition, Cambridge IGCSE develops learner knowledge, understanding and skills in:

Our fundamental strategy is to encourage learners to engage with various subjects and make association between them; this approach is based on starting with the core subjects (mathematics, physics and Chemistry) and then adding breadth and cross curricular perspectives.
