2016年12月的四级考试写作部分可谓“中规中矩”，既没有延续6月份让考生措手不及的应用文写作，也没有考查考前“备受青睐”的图表作文。三套作文均以“毕业后的选择”为情景，分别让考生阐明选择读研与就业，在国企还是外企就业以及就业还是创业的原因，与2013年考研英语一大作文“毕业生的选择”有异曲同工之妙。

2013年四级考试大改革以来，四级写作几乎每年都在变换出题形式，从一开始的图画作文，到记叙文，引言式作文，应用文再到这次的情景式作文。四级写作“反押题”趋向越演愈烈。Gone are the days when 一套模版打天下！因此，再次郑重提醒考生们，日后的四级写作备考中，应多注重夯实英语词汇句法基础，尤其要积累四级写作常考话题词汇，学习英语写作的基本论证方法以及不同文体的写作方法。出题形式每年都在改变，永恒不变的唯有素材与思维。

      本次三套写作题目较为相似，差异不大。故以下仅以第一套题目“就业还是读研”为例，为考生提供写作思路以及参考范文：

　　第一段：引入现象＋阐明观点。

　　第二段：因果论证（先总后分，列两点，注意使用关联词）

第三段：重申主题＋归纳小结。

Directions:

For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay. Suppose you have two options upon graduation: one is to take a job in a company and the other to go to a graduate school. You are to make a choice between the two. Write an essay to explain the reasons for your choice. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.

SAMPLE ESSAY

       On the present occasion, there is a growing trend that students are confronted various choices upon graduation. Some students, for instance, prefer to seek a job while others hope to pursue further education. For my part, I find it more practical for me to work in a company after graduation.

      Two reasons may account for my choice. For one thing, it is true that those who have a higher degree seem to land a job more easily in the competitive society. However, a higher degree does not necessarily ensure a decent and well-paid job. As a matter of fact, a Master’s or a Doctoral degree is not a must in many companies. For another, finical condition is also factor that cannot be ignored. It is not the case that every family can afford the tuition of graduate school. As for me, I do not come from a well-off family. Therefore, the last thing I hope to do is to burden my family with the expensive tuition.

       To sum up, it is merely a matter of opinion as to which option is better. It is suggested graduates should think twice before they make a decision.
